Loving husband, father and grandfather Ronald H. Bayer, 86, of Washington, Pa., for-merly of Eighty-Four, died on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023. He was born March 1, 1937, in Greentree, son of Lawrence and Gertrude Vermillion Bayer He was a talented interior designer who worked for many different furniture stores in the Pittsburgh area before settling at Colonial Modern (formerly Colonial Gallery), where he worked for over 30 years. He was also an associate of Toni McGonigle Interiors. He is survived by his wife, Carol Mader Bayer; one son, Neil Bayer (Traci) from Venetia; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Nathan Bayer. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Bayer (Carol); one sister, Dr. Gertrude Bayer (Carol Haber); three sisters-in-law, Joretta Bayer Bradford, Rose Pallotta and Barbara Levenson (Lester); and many nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his parents (Lawrence and Gertrude), are two brothers, Edward Bayer and Richard Bayer; a special cousin, John Peter Bayer; sister-in-law, Betty Bayer; and two brothers-in-law, Allen Bradford and Edward Pallotta. The family of Ronald Bayer would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Grand Residence Assisted Living and the Anova Hospice team for their loving care and support throughout his hospice care. Friends are welcome from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at THOMPSON- MARODI FUNERAL HOME INC., 809 Main St., Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2023. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
