Vincent L. Burger, 95, of Monessen, died on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, in his residence. Born in Monessen on May 24, 1928, he was the son of the late George and Anna Kusar Burger. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He and his wife Ethel enjoyed dancing to polkas and Croatian music. Vince retired as a crane man from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. Allenport plant. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Frank and George; and one sister, Mary Kugler. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Kovach Burger; two sons, Vincent and Daryle Burger, both of Monessen; three grandchildren, Travis Burger, Raquel and husband Robert Gee and Rosalyn Burger; five great-granddaughters, Ellasandra and Ivana Burger and Rylah, Reese and Remi Gee; a sister-in-law, Margaret “Dolly” Burger of Monessen; and nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will take place at noon Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. ROBERT A.
