Monessen’s City Park, Civic Center to get updates

Monessen council discussed some parks and recreation updates this month, including electrical work at City Park.
Councilman Don Gregor, who is in charge of parks and public buildings, was unable to attend the last meeting but gave Mayor Ron Mozer the go-ahead to give the report.
Mozer said there are still electrical issues at the walking track at City Park.
“In order to fully comply with electrical codes, we’ve hired a licensed electrician,” Mozer said.
Although the city was able to use one of the electrical stations earlier this month, both will soon be brought up to code. He said both should be available within a week or two.
