Monessen digs up time capsule

The time capsule buried during the City of Monessen’s 100th anniversary was unearthed Tuesday, and its contents will be unveiled to the public Saturday at the Greater Monessen Historical Society. From 2 to 4 p.m., visitors can go to the museum on Donner Avenue and see the items that were stowed away in 1998 to be unearthed during this year’s celebration.
