Vera J. Kicinski, 83, of Pittsburgh, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh. She was born April 28, 1940, in Donora, daughter of the late George Bagay and the late Mary Mihalecko Bagay. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Scott Township but grew up going to St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Donora. In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Kicinski; and a brother, Edward Bagay. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cheryl Kasporwicz of Lawrenceville and Debra (David) Novotnak of McDonald; grandchildren, Ryan, Allison, Timothy and Michael; and great-grandson, Kayden. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023. Panachida services will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev.
