Brentt Jones – Monessen

On Aug. 7, 2023, Brentt Jones, 39, slipped away from his family and friends. He will always be fondly remembered as a football star, running back and linebacker, #32 for the Monessen Greyhounds. He graduated from Monessen High School, Class of 2002. He was an all-around sportsman and loved hanging out with his brothers. Brentt is survived by his mother, Beverly Edwards-Byrd, and father, Anzalone “Zek” Jones; brothers, Brad Jones, Christopher Byrd, Christian Byrd and Jamar Byrd; sisters, Ashley Byrd-Bobin and Bella Byrd; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; along with a special friend, Brianna Bergstedt. Brentt will be sadly missed. Viewing will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, with a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, with Bishop Karl Jackson, pastor, officiating. Celebration of life has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, 724-379-5420.
