Jack F. Cox, 79, of Fallowfield Township, passed away peacefully on Aug. 12, 2023, with his family by his side. Born on Aug. 14, 1943, Jack was the son of the late Frank and Nora Crow Cox. A truck driver for over 50 years until his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking projects, camping and meticulously taking care of his yard, picking every weed and dandelion. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving to cherish Jack’s memory, his wife, Carolyn (Carpenter) Cox; his daughter, Theda (Brian) Diethorn; son, Jack (Mickey Carlucci) Cox; and daughter, Sherri (Dave) Marraccini; his grandchildren, Carissa (Earl) Smith, Jolene (Luke) Sedar, David (Rikki) Marraccini, Lucas (Marissa) Diethorn, Bob Marraccini and Jared (Emily) Wyvratt Diethorn; great-grandchildren, Brantley and Jakson Smith, Emma Sedar and Lydia Diethorn; his sister, Grace (Richard) Benzio; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Cox; and his sisters, Janet Cox and Beatrice Cox. Friends and family will be received at HOGAN MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME, 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Aug. 16, 2023, with interment following at Mon Valley Memorial Park.
