Ella L. Ailes, 82, of Coal Center, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2023. Born in Washington, on April 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mattie Bedillion Elliott. A homemaker, Ella also worked in retail sales. She enjoyed going to the beach and the Meadows, and she enjoyed cooking, especially for the holidays. She is survived by her son, William (Suzanne) Ailes Jr. of Bentleyville; grandchildren, Jessica Ellsworth and Timmy Yonko; stepson, Gary Ailes of McMurray; son-in-law, George Ellsworth; sisters-in-law, Marlene Elliott and June Russell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Ailes; son, Timothy Yonko; daughter, Trudy Ellsworth; stepson, Jaime Ailes; sisters, Pearl Decker and Patricia Skolyak; and brothers, Russell Bird, Robert Elliott, James Elliott and Joseph Elliott. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held following the visitation at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family toward purchasing a memorial bench in Lafayette Memorial Park that Ella wanted for her remains as well as her deceased husband and son.
