Ribbon-cutting celebration today for solar arrays at White Oak Park

This afternoon, Allegheny County officials will join others in a ribbon-cutting ceremony of the solar array installation at White Oak Park.
County Executive Rich Fitzgerald will be joined by members of the administration, Green Building Alliance, Sustainable Pittsburgh and Duquesne Light at 2 p.m. for the ceremony honoring the county’s investment in sustainability as it pursues a Net Zero Energy designation.
The new solar array has been built near the Chestnut Picnic Grove playground.
Crews installed the equipment in a bid to help create Allegheny County Park’s energy future.
