For AMD Industries head coach Bria Rathway, things are as they should be in the Mon Valley Independent Summer Basketball League.
AMD Industries is back on top.
After dropping last year’s championship game without their two top players, AMD got its revenge on defending champion Edward Jones with a 65-48 win in Wednesday’s championship. It’s the third trophy in four years for Rathway and her team.
“It’s back to where it should be,” Rathway said with a smile. “All is back to normal now. It just didn’t feel right.
“Last year’s game definitely gave us some motivation, especially Avery and Mallory (Daly) with them two being seniors. They didn’t get the chance to play in the championship last year, and they really wanted it this season.”
