Fallowfield Township approves KOZ extension for Alta Vista Business Park

Fallowfield officials want to ensure businesses continue to call the township home.
During a business meeting Wednesday, supervisors unanimously agreed to grant a request from the Mon Valley Alliance to move forward with the process of requesting an extension for it’s Keystone Opportunity Zone (KOZ) designation for undeveloped parcels at Alta Vista Business park.
The KOZ designation is an economic development program designed to stimulate investment, economic growth and employment in the commonwealth for development and revitalization.
Applicants located or partially located in specially designated, geographically defined KOZ zones are authorized to apply for state and local tax credits, exemptions and tax abatements for a period of time based on the duration of the zone.
