Patricia J. ‘Patti’ Cannizzaro – Monongahela

By obits

Patricia J. “Patti” Cannizzaro, 62, of Monongahela, went home in the arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 23, 2023. Born on Sept. 20, 1960, she was the second eldest daughter of the late Patrick M. and Anna May Cenkner Sedlak. Patti was a faithful follower and member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Donora. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, as she was the definition of a true family woman. Patti always insisted on taking as many photos as possible at family gatherings so that her family would have “memories in our hearts and minds.” Needless to say, her memory is everlasting in the countless family photos she took over the years! Patti is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Peter M. Cannizzaro, of Monongahela, along with her three children, Frank M. Skrypak of Monessen, Melissa J. (Matthew) Speicher of Dunbar, and Patrick R. (Dannielle) Skrypak of Monessen. She leaves behind siblings, Susan J. Kerestes and the late John A. of Monessen, BethAnn (Ronald) Kovach of Charleroi, Eugene (Paulette) Sedlak of Elizabeth, and Carole Marie Sedlak (and daughter Jaclyn) of Monessen. Also surviving Patti are her nine grandchildren, James, Frankie and Abigail Skrypak of Scottdale, Lillian, Jason, Jaxon and Justin Speicher of Dunbar, and Gabbrielle and newborn Daniel of Monessen. Patti has one great-granddaughter, Indi Skrypak, also of Scottdale. Patti leaves behind many nieces, nephews, her mother-in-law, Joan Cannizzaro and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, all of whom have felt so much love from her. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 1 Park Road, Donora, with the Rev. Kevin Dominik presiding. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery followed by a celebration of Patti’s life at St. Andrew the Apostle Social Hall, Donora.
