Kathryn Kay Huscroft Rock – Monessen

Kathryn Kay Huscroft Rock, 89, of Monessen, passed away on July 21, 2023, at her home. She was born in Monessen on Oct. 29, 1933, daughter of the late Robert and Kathryn Robins Huscroft. She was a graduate of Monessen High School in 1951 and worked for 20 years at Brookvale Manufacturing Co. and for six and a half years at Hallsworth House in North Charleroi prior to her retirement in 1995. She was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a member of the United Methodist Church. She will be sadly missed by her sons, John M. and wife Kristine Rock of Bellevue, Neb., and Daniel E. Rock of Monessen and Lori Rock. Also surviving are three grandsons, Jonathan and wife Casey Rock and their children, Hayden and Mia; Jeffrey and wife, Melinda Rock and their children, Xander, Kyler, Spencer, Alyssa, Oliver and Archer; and Christopher Rock II of Florida; a sister, Evelyn Brown of Fayette City; goddaughter, Kathy Felice; Clastia and Bree Rock; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Rock Jr.; her son, Christopher Rock; sisters, Betty Lencio and Marion Dopra; and her brothers, Robert Huscroft and Malcolm Huscroft. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023, with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Burial will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora.
