Monessen: Council hears CDBG money suggestions

New radios for firefighters, road paving and fixing hillside erosion were all projects that were recommended as Monessen held its first public hearing to discuss uses for next year’s Community Development Block Grant funding. The city will receive $307,965 to use next year. At least 70% of the funds are required to be used for activities or projects that mainly benefit low- and moderate-income people who live in the city.
