Lynne M. Macfarlane – New Eagle

By obits

Lynne M. Macfarlane, 50, of New Eagle, passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 17, 2023. Born on Nov. 19, 1972, in New Eagle, she is the daughter of Terrie Bianchi Macfarlane of Uniontown and the late Thomas H. Macfarlane Jr. A dedicated Pittsburgh sports team fan, especially the Pirates, Lynne enjoyed going on delivery routes along with her longtime companion, Ken, and they were avid independent wrestling fans, traveling to over 500 shows around the Mon Valley, Pittsburgh and West Virginia area. She enjoyed going to various yard sales and flea markets, especially the Perryopolis Flea Market for their well-known pepperoni rolls. Lynne loved everything Disney, her slushies and scratch-offs from 7-Eleven and decorating her house at Christmastime, which was her favorite holiday. She loved her family, and seeing her grandkids made her the happiest. She is survived by her companion and soulmate of 26 years, Kenneth Burch of New Eagle, who will dearly miss watching their stand-up comedy, comedy specials and podcasts together at night; their son, Matthew Burch of New Eagle; daughter, Stephanie Macfarlane of New Eagle; stepdaughter, Brittany Burch (Jill Segraves) of Belle Vernon; stepson, Brandon (Tosch) Burch of Monongahela; five grandchildren, Bianca (who she enjoyed watching “Encanto” with over and over), Mya, Harper, Damon and Aurora; a brother, William Crawford; a sister, Robin Crawford; two uncles, Robert and James (Dawn) Macfarlane of Monongahela; cousins, Dawn and Courtney Macfarlane and Amy Sullivan; nephews, John, Mike, Martin, Ben and Billy; and Ken’s parents, Dave and Dolly Mellinger of Monongahela. An avid animal lover, she leaves behind her dogs, Lonnie, Buck and King. She was preceded in death by her fur babies, Hines, Kane and Buster. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, July 21, 2023, at which time a service will begin with Pastor Ken Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Condolences can be made online at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
