Raymond G. Moluski

Nov. 30, 1942 – July 7, 2023

Raymond G. Moluski, 80, of Chapin, S.C., formerly of Rostraver Township, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2023.  Ray was born on Nov. 30, 1942, to Clifford T. and Kathryn Moluski in Elco, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Anitra Hempelmann Moluski, originally of Wheeling, W.Va.  Ray is also survived by his daughter, Shelley (Jake) Coneybeer of Belle Vernon; and son Raymond E. (Lori) Moluski of Erie, Pa.; two sisters, Barbara (Richard) Webb of Roscoe, Pa., and Dona Jean (John) McMahon of Venetia, Pa. He cherished his grandsons, Dragen Kostelac and Jakob B. Coneybeer. Many nieces and nephews completed the family. He was preceded in death by an older brother Clifford E. “Chippy” Moluski in 1944. Ray retired as the division manager of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. He was the past exalted ruler of the Charleroi Elks and served as a district deputy grand exalted ruler for the State of Pennsylvania. He competed on the ritual team that won the State Elks competition. Nothing pleased Ray more than to sit under his cantilever umbrella drinking a CC Manhattan and critiquing the skills of the golfers on the eighth hole of the golf course. Special thanks to his nieces, Sherie Horan Lammers  (Scott Lammers) and Kerie Horan Noll (Tom Noll) for their special gifts, acts of kindness and prayers; and nephew, Jayme Horan and his wife, Kathi, for their love and support. A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.
