Donald E. Moody Sr., 82, of Monongahela, Carroll Township, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Havencrest Nursing Center, Carroll Township. Born Oct. 2, 1940, in Bobtown, Pa., Donald was the son of the late John and Mary Everly Moody. A graduate of Charleroi High School, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was employed at the former Supervalu Distribution Center in Belle Vernon, where he worked until his retirement. He will be remembered for his lightheartedness and jokester personality when he was around his family and friends. He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Moody and fiancé Keith Haynes of Monongahela, and Leigh Ann (Mike) Santillo of Greensburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. Moody Jr. (Marcie Yunkun) of Monongahela; a brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Moody of Charleroi, Pa.; and sister, Judy (Mike) Greenfield of Spotsylvania, Va.; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Andrea F. Moody, who passed away July 27, 2022; a brother, Robert Moody; and two sisters, Carol Jean Pascarella and Pat Riva.
