Jack T. LaForte – Monessen

Jack T. LaForte, 84, of Monessen, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 23, 1938, in North Charleroi, the son of the late Jack J. LaForte and Stacey (Snyder) LaForte-DeMoss. Jack served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves. He also served as a Monessen city councilman, member of the Redevelopment Authority/Enterprise Zone, served as chairman of the City Department of Parks and Public Property, and was a member of the Ravens Athletic Association, Monessen Elks and French Club, where he was part of the golf league and where he enjoyed playing cards with friends. Jack enjoyed going to the casino and especially loved going on family trips to Ocean City, Md. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marlene (Troth) LaForte, daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Cicchini; son, Jack B. LaForte of Monessen; two sisters, Sandra Visca and Kathy (Mike) Madigan; two half-sisters, Mary DeMoss-Lofton and Helen Stupnik; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family services were entrusted to DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery.
