Brock L. Mayou, 75, of Warren, formerly of Monongahela, passed away with his loving family and friends by his side on Monday, July 3, 2023, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie. He was born on March 11, 1948, in McKeesport, son of Arthur and Marie Knaus Mayou. Brock was Catholic by faith. He graduated from Glassport High School in 1966. In 2010, he retired from Eastman Chemical with over 40 years of employment. He was a longtime member of the NRA, Connellsville Gun Club, Glassport Fire Department and the Clarion and Mon River Reptile Associations. Brock was an avid fisherman, deer and snake hunter, coin collector and master of the grill. He will forever be remembered for his famous BBQ ribs, baked potatoes in the fire and creative pancakes for the grandkids. In his later years, Brock enjoyed sitting on the porch with his wife, Linda, feeding the wildlife. Over the last 35 years, Brock volunteered numerous hours to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, helping his wife behind the scenes to raise tens of thousands of dollars. He was also a consistent, reliable blood and platelet donor. He is survived by his wife, Linda Stoker Mayou, with whom he celebrated 45 years of marriage on May 24, 2023; two daughters, Tammy Rybarski and husband Scott of Monongahela, and Kelly Mankovich and husband Michael of Wexford; six grandchildren, Raquel and husband Eric Weinheimer, Alaina and husband Titus Fredd, Cole Nickolls, Zachary and Tyler Klinefelter and Arabella Mankovich; three great-grandchildren, Brady and Katelyn Weinheimer and Levi Fredd; sister, Pamela Harlan of Elizabeth Township; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Marie Mayou, who died March 30, 1986; and his brother-in-law, Melvin Harlan. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2023, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2023, at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.
