Paul Chanko, 88, of Donora, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll Township. He was born in Donora, son of the late Charles Chanko and the late Helen Chanko. Paul was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Donora. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Laughland Chanko; a sister, Ann Martz; two brothers, John and Michael; and a grandson, Christopher. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Deborah McLaughlin of Donora, Paula Angeline of Monessen, Michael (Joanne) Chanko of Donora, David Chanko of Donora and Christina (Jim Jr.) Parsons of Donora; grandchildren, Mindy, Michael Jr., Chelsea, Vince Jr., Katie, Jacob, Cody, Noah and Jesse; and two great-grandchildren, Harmony and Jace Michael. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023. Funeral services will be conducted at Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc. at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Donora.
