Richard “Dick” Cletus Leake, 82, of Rostraver Township, died peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023. He was born on March 6, 1941, in Buena Vista, Pa., to the late Richard Leake and Sophie Rush. Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Ava Stupar; three daughters, Elizabeth Leake-Deysher of Latrobe, Tara (John) Mooney of Latrobe and Dara (Joseph) Spadaro of Penn Township; and one son, Richard (Cindi) Leake III of West Newton; five grandchildren, Collin (Chelsea) and Ryan Deysher, Declan Mooney, Sophia Spadaro and Joseph Spadaro; his siblings, Dolores Lovett, Jerry and Maryjane Leake; and his step-siblings, Rich (Vicki) DeLong, Beverly (Ken) Katona; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Richard was widowed by his wife, Darla Byers. He was also preceded in death by his stepbrother, Byron White. Richard owned his own machine repair companies, Lynx Incorporated and Metaline Machine. Richard was an avid golfer and enjoyed snow-birding in Florida with his sweetheart. He was a member of the Norwin Chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. He was a devoted Pup-Pup. He was well-known for his witty sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, Pa., where a funeral will commence at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023. A funeral ceremony will then be held at 11 a.m. at Denmark Manor Church, 2001 Denmark Manor Road, Export. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the ALS Foundation online at www.als.org or to the Wounded Warrior Project online at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or by telephone at 412-471-0935.
