Carol B. Vivio, 82, of Monessen, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at Shadyside Hospital. She was born Sept. 5, 1940, in California, Pa., daughter of the late Ludie and Cecelia Rowe Bakos. Carol was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She will be remembered by everyone who knew her for her beautiful smile and loving heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Bakos. Carol is survived and will be missed by Ron, her husband of 61 years; as well as her daughter, Jennifer Santoro; son-in-law, Marc; and her grandchildren, Michael and Taylor. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister, Yvonne Shearer (Dick); brother, Les Bakos; as well as seven nieces and nephews, Ron (Beth) Bakos, Bryan (Jill) Bakos, Richard (Tracy) Shearer, Jill (Matt) Sorisio, Jef (Nicole) Bakos, Ashley (Frank) Vitale and Lauren Bakos; along with nine great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received at RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd, Monessen, PA 15062, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Rhome Funeral Home with Mass to follow at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church in Monessen. Interment will follow in Grand View Cemetery.
