McKeesport Area School Board held a scattered final meeting of the fiscal school year Wednesday.
The meeting’s published agenda sparked dissent from district residents, as one of its items indicated the board would vote to approve the final budget for the 2023-24 school year — a measure they had voted on last month.
Additionally, the item indicated the new budget would include a .2096 mill increase, whereas the previously approved budget features no tax increase.
Resident and school board candidate David Seropian spoke about the issue, urging the board to dismiss the new budget.
