Ruth E. Corcoran, 82, of Webster, died Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Monessen, the daughter of Alfred Regis and Ellen Wilt Creevey. Ruth was a 1958 graduate of Rostraver High School. She was an active member of The Living Room (formerly The Carpenter’s Cross) in Webster. Ruth had a strong faith and loved reading her Bible. She loved the Lord and was a woman of God. She was very family-oriented and would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Ruth loved her dogs, crossword puzzles, watching cowboy movies and “The Golden Girls.” She is survived by three children, Pam (Sam) Weir of Webster, twins, Michele (Mark) Villers of Meadville and Michael “Pick” (Kim) Corcoran of Spring Grove; five grandchildren, Casey (Nick) Couzantino, Josh (Kaitlyn) Corcoran, Jake, Jesse and Jared Corcoran; great-grandson, Keegan Couzantino; and sister, Judy Bachetti of Nevada. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William James Corcoran Jr.; son, Jack E. Corcoran; grandson, Jack E. Corcoran Jr.; and four siblings, Dorothy, Esther, Al and Terry. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the Rostraver Township VFD No. 1 Webster, 950 state Route 906, with her son-in-law, the Rev. Mark Villers officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Fells Cemetery, Rostraver. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., Monongahela. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
