By obits

Frank D. Mazzoni Jr., 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2023, at home in Rostraver Township, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 2, 1961, in Vineland, N.J., and grew up in Delray Beach, Fla., before moving to Port St. Lucie, Fla., where he was owner of Treasure Coast Auto Repair before retiring in 2022. He is survived by his wife, Renee DiSora; stepdaughter, Arielle Geren; father Frank Mazzoni Sr.; and mother, Marie Scarpa Mazzoni of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sisters, Debbie Mazzoni Fleshood (Steve Perry) and Denise Mazzoni Gunn. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Helen DiSora; sisters-in-law, Valerie DiSora (Simon Lowenfeld), Lisa DiSora (John Gallick) and Denise; brothers-in-law, Mark (Lisa) and Dennis, who loved Frank as a son and brother; nieces Michelle Stabile, Paige DiSora, Maya DiSora, Natalia DiSora, Rachelle Kukan and Stephenee Shoemaker; nephews, Bobby Branson, Brent Gunn, Adrian Lowenfeld, Anthony Lowenfeld, DJ Kukan and Gianni DiSora; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, godchildren and a bevy of friends too numerous to count. “Frankie Cars” aka “Florida Frank” was an avid golfer, die hard Philly Eagles fan, Harley rider, car enthusiast and master mechanic. He supported, donated to, and sponsored many a charity/cause, most notably Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Greater Palm Beach and Treasure Coast. Frank was a steadfast and reliable friend who made an impact on countless lives. He had an enormous heart and was generous to a fault. Your problems became his problems. His witty sense of humor has us laughing still today. To know him was to love him. It was an honor and a privilege to have been a part of his life. RIP Frank. You will forever remain alive in our hearts. Contributions can be made in Frank’s honor to Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma PA, Box 194, Gibsonia, PA 15044, or online at pittsburghcuresarcoma.org.
