Elsie D. Lewitsky – Monessen

Elsie D. Lewitsky, 100, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born on Oct. 29, 1922, in Monessen, daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Caterino Iacovino Young. She was beloved by many and will be missed dearly. Surviving family members include her children, Susan M. Folendore, Maryanne Plump, Janet M. Cieply and Nicholas J. Lewitsky; her grandchildren, Amy Jo, Kasey, Brandon, Taylor, Lauren, Katy, Christopher and Audra; her great-grandchildren, Cypress Anne, Jordan, Keira, Thomas, Frank, Lucienne, Norah, Nico, Easton, Chase and Wesley; her brother, Michael Young; very special women, Mary Theresa Greer and Virginia Dudas and many other loving family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nick Lewitsky. Honoring Elsie’s wishes to keep her service simple, her family requests that friends and family gather for a blessing service beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, with the Rev. Michael Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org/donate.
