Donna J. Winwood, 77, of California, Pa., passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Bella Healthcare, Uniontown. A daughter of the late Alfred and Loretta Winfield Carpenter, she was born on Oct. 7, 1945, in Brownsville. Formerly of Rostraver Township, Donna had resided in California, Pa. for the past 12 years. She was a former employee of the Pilot Truck Stop in Bentleyville, retiring in 2016. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, John III and Amanda Winwood of California, Pa., and Jason E. and Jodie Winwood of Rostraver Township; and six grandchildren, Cayley Winwood, Madisen Winwood, Morgan Winwood, Mia Johnson, Austin Winwood and Abigail Winwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Winwood Jr., on March 21, 2010; and a son, Joel Winwood, on Feb. 23, 2017. Friends will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, with the funeral service beginning at 4:30 p.m. at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons will be officiating.
