Joseph Del Grillo, 81, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on June 23, 2023, peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 30, 1941, in Lock Four, he was the son of the late August and Mary Keller Grillo. Del was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of American Legion Post 22 in Charleroi and a former member of the firing squad. He looked forward every year to going to his hunting cabin with his son and grandsons. Del belonged to the North Charleroi French Club, where he enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the pool team. What he loved most was spending time with his family. Del is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol (Labrasca) Grillo; daughter, Deanne Jones; son, Michael (Ashley) Grillo; grandsons, Jeremy and Jacob Jones and August Grillo; brother-in-law, Robert Zelenski; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Marlene Zelenski. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home conducted by Father Robert Hanna. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery with military honors provided by the Air Force and American Legion Post 22 in Charleroi. Online condolences may be sent to www.spallinofuneralhome.com.
