Fannie Rae Yeager Richardson, 87, of New Eagle, passed away on June 19, 2023, in Jefferson Hospital. Born Feb. 17, 1936, in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Erma Fast Yeager. A 1954 graduate of Monongahela High School, she helped organize class reunions all the way up through the 50th. Fannie Rae was a lifelong member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Monongahela. She loved to go square dancing and was a huge fan of Wayne Newton and had been lucky enough to have met him several times. She retired in 2001 as a school bus for the Ringgold School District. During those years, she earned the respect and affection of her students, which she considered her kids. A devoted mother and grandmother, she loved her family more than anything and is survived by three sons, Gene (Marie) Richardson, Terry Richardson and Dale (Micki) Richardson; daughter and son-in-law, Jan (John) Thorpe; nine grandchildren, Tyson, Brandon, Nikki, Leah, Jessica, Lindsay, Benjamin, Christa and David; along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick Richardson; daughter-in-law, Tina Richardson; and sister, Judy McFeely. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday where services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Condolences can be made online at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
