Monongahela’s new council member has hit the ground running.
Councilman Mark Gadd gave his first report Wednesday, detailing parks and properties projects completed during his first month on the job.
Police Chief Kevin Harris went out of his way to praise Gadd for his work ethic and enthusiasm.
“The impact you’ve made in this first month is definitely noticeable,” Harris said. “Everything is looking nice.”
Gadd listed work he and street department employees finished throughout the month, thanking everyone who helped. On the recommendation and request of Harris, council promoted officers Ryan Lenzi and Roderic Henson Wednesday.
Lenzi was promoted to interim lieutenant; Henson was promoted to interim sergeant.
Harris gave a moving speech to council and residents about the development of the officers and the department.
