Karen J. Kelemen, 79, of Washington Township, Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 5, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital. A daughter of the late Norman and Velma Delansky Renner, she was born in New Eagle, on Sept. 1, 1943.  Karen was a Belle Vernon resident for the past 56 years. She worked as a nurse’s aide for over 30 years at Victoria House and was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Karen loved baking, cooking and hosting holiday gatherings and was a loving mother, grandma and great-grandma. She is survived by six daughters, Sherry Mickey of Belle Vernon, Kathy Price (Gary) of Belle Vernon, Jennifer Allen (Eugene) of Centerville, Jamie Kelemen of Uniontown, Holly Clark (Jaison) of Belle Vernon and Kristy Kelemen of Slippery Rock; 18 grandchildren, Samantha Flores (Julio), Kaitlyn Kelemen (Seth), Jeremy Kelemen (Michael), Baylee Allen (Eddie), Colton Allen (Lexi), Maleenah Kelemen, Madalyn Davis, Makayla Kelemen-Clark, Sailor Kelemen-Clark, Liberty Kelemen-Clark, Justice Kelemen-Clark, Zachary Rose, Brianna Rose, Mariah Rose, Cheyanne Bell, Jordan Vining, Ciera Temple and Tyler Temple; and nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Elijah, E’ziyus, E’laysia, Eliyanah, Brooklyn, Seth Jr., Braelyn and Kamari. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Kelemen, on Oct. 25, 2017; a daughter, Erin Elizabeth Kelemen, in 1981; a son, John R. Kelemen III, in 2021, and two brothers, Donald and Rick Renner. Visitation will be at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, beginning with a blessing service at 5 p.m. Friday with Father Michael Crookston officiating. Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
