Bruce L. Kusaj, 85, of Belle Vernon, passed away with his loving family by his side on June 7, 2023, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Bruce was born on Nov. 22, 1937, in Warren, to the late Wilhelm and Helen Hebets Kusaj. Christian by faith, Bruce was a member of the First Christian Church in Belle Vernon. Following high school, Bruce served honorably in the United States Army as an automated logistics specialist. After serving in the Army, Bruce obtained a bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania and later retired from the United States Postal Service. Surviving to cherish Bruce’s memory are his daughter, Kelly Wright of Belle Vernon; his two sons, Clayton (Lisa) Kusaj of Austin, Texas, and Dr. Cliff (Francesca) Kusaj of Rome, Italy; his grandchildren, Julian, Leigh and Wesley Kusaj and Kaylyn Roberts and Lynsey Wright; and his great-grandson, Brantley James Workman. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris J. Kusaj; his daughter, Kally Kusaj; and his son, Clark Kusaj. Friends and family will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, with Pastor Sam Batten officiating. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
