Patsy P. DeRienzo – Rostraver Township
Patsy P. DeRienzo, 77, of Rostraver Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh on July 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Marion “Mutsy” and Mary Davis DeRienzo. Patsy retired from Fisher Body, General Motors Division where he worked in the tool and die department. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards at many local clubs. He was a lifetime member of the Naomi Athletic Club and was a member of the Fayette City American Legion and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. He proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a military policeman overseas in Germany. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Simko DeRienzo. He is survived by his sons, Patrick DeRienzo (Rachel Mathianas) of Belle Vernon and Matthew DeRienzo of Belle Vernon; siblings, Toni Hepler, Victor DeRienzo and Vicki Sue DeRienzo; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Church of St. Anne, 1870 Rostraver Road, Rostraver Township, with the Rev. David J. Nazimek presiding. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
