Nicholas Brough – Eighty Four (Nottingham Township)

Nicholas Brough, 65, of Eighty Four (Nottingham Township), passed away on Sunday May 28, 2023, in his home after a long illness. Born Oct. 21, 1957, in Irvington, N.Y., he was the son of the late Donald McKenzie and Cleopatra (Triandafilides) Brough. Nick graduated from Irvington High School in 1975 and continued his education at San Jose State University in California, graduating in 1983. He worked as a computer-aided draftsman for Pittsburgh Tank Co. in Monongahela. Nick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Elizabeth Little Brough; two sons, Kevin M. Brough of Oakdale and Andrew J. Brough of Eighty Four; four daughters and sons-in-law, Joanna (Tobias) Provan of Monongahela, Angelica (Alexander) Scales of Monongahela, Mary Claire (Robert) Tidwell of Monongahela and Genevieve (Shane) Johnstonbaugh of Hickory; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael (Nancy) Brough of California; a sister-in-law, Lisa Brough of Cary, N.C.; nine grandchildren and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alexander Brough. He was a talented artist who appreciated the beauty of life. His legacy of love and compassion for everyone, young and old, born and preborn, sick and healthy, is carried on in his children and grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 2.
