Ronald K. Phillippi, 86, of Monessen, passed away on May 23, 2023, in the Emergency Room of Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen on April 30, 1937, son of the late Cloyd and Violet Mae Tressler Phillippi Sr. He had graduated from Monessen High School with the Class of 1955. Ron was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen. He had also been a member of the Raven A.A. having served as president. His employment over the years included Westmoreland Paving, American Chain and Cable Company-Pages Division, the City of Monessen as a police officer, Volkswagen, and ultimately retiring from Precision Marshall Steel as the maintenance supervisor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Turano Phillippi; sisters, Gloria Jean Evans and Mona Ruth Imbrescia; brothers, Harry, Harold “Duane”, Marvin and Cloyd “K” Phillippi. Surviving are his son, Eric T. and wife Jodi Phillippi; daughters, Kristin Phillippi-Henry and Mark Stash, Tracey and husband John Swann and Andrea Phillippi and Benjamin Bailey; grandchildren, Josh, Levi, Kendra, Alyssa, Tyler, Cole R., Cole S., Jules, Major and Steele. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery of Monessen.
