Sarah Sage Salay – Monessen

Sarah Sage Salay, 32, of Monessen, passed away on May 19, 2023, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born in Monongahela on Feb. 17, 1991, daughter of the late Stephen J. Salay and Janet Grcich Salay, who survives. She was a devout Christian who loved to help others. Sarah also loved dogs and spending time with her friends. She was very adept in fashion and loved shopping. In addition to her mother, Sarah is survived by her sisters, Melessa (Justin) and Chelsey; nieces, Skylar and Stepheni; nephew, Spencer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her dog, Zena; and grandparents, Stephen and Frances Grcich and Stephen “Sage” and Gertrude Salay. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Tom Harding officiating. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora.
