Robert W. Conroy, 84, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, in Jefferson Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on Dec. 14, 1938, in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late Charles Robert and Dorothy “Toots” Braun Conroy. He was a 1956 graduate of Salem High School in Ohio and was a member of many clubs and organizations, including Monessen Lions Club, where he was serving as treasurer for the past 11 years, Mon Valley and Zanesville United Way, where he served as a past president, and the Mon Valley Progress Council. He was on the board for Mon Valley Hospital and Monessen and Zanesville Rotary. He worked as a publisher for three newspapers, Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter, Zanesville Times Recorder, and The Valley Independent. He also worked for many years at Ryte Byte computer store and repair service and at Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Jenny Anne Bronder Conroy; son, Michael Robert (Adina) Conroy of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; daughter, Christine Ann Conroy of Chicago, Ill.; and granddaughter, Arianah Ruzovich. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday May 24, 2023, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 25, 2023, in the funeral home with Father David J. Nazimek officiating. The Monessen Lions Club will conduct a service at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven at 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131, whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com/donations or Monessen Lions Sight Seal Project P.O.
