Monessen school board undecided on tax increase

Monessen School Board has passed a preliminary budget, but hasn’t decided if real estate taxes will increase or stay the same. The current draft of the budget calls for expenditures of $18,911,495 and no tax increase. Superintendent Dr. Robert Motte said a decision will be made in June before the final budget is adopted.
