BVA students raise money to provide water for Sudan

When Belle Vernon Area Middle School students studied a book depicting the struggles that people in Sudan suffer through in the fight for clean water, a group of them decided to take matters into their own hands. Carol Aten Frow and Linda Kikta, who both teach seventh-grade reading, read through the novel, “A Long Walk to Water,” with their pupils. The story told is vastly different from what middle school students are used to in America.
