Louis Stephen Comadena, 80, of Fairfax, Va., passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.  A son of the late Lou and Florence Ambrose Comadena, he was born on June 19, 1942, and resided in North Belle Vernon for his entire youth. He was a 1960 graduate of Bellmar High School and was proud to be a part of their undefeated 1959 football team. Mr. Comadena went on to graduate from the United States Air Force Academy in 1964. He achieved the rank of captain and was based in Thailand during the Vietnam War, where he was in charge of leading the building of Nakhon Phanom Air Force Base. During this time, he was awarded the Bronze Star by the U.S. government. He also went on to earn his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1978, was granted eight patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and proudly retired as CEO of Penn-Wheeling Closure, LLC.
