Implosions bring down former Elrama power plant

Hundreds of people and cars lined Route 837 in Elrama Friday eagerly waiting for the old Duquesne Light power plant to implode. Neighbors pulled out lawn chairs and parking lots at area businesses were full as residents waited for the “big boom,” which was slated to happen around 9:30 a.m.
