Kathleen Jane Grabill, 70, of White Oak, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was born in McKeesport, on Sept. 25, 1952, and is the daughter of the late Jesse and Catherine Steel Taylor. Kathleen set an example for her children by going to college in her mid-30s and receiving her associate degree in nursing. She was employed at Fallston Hospital in the beginning of her career and later retired at UPMC McKeesport, working in both the emergency department and operating room as a registered nurse. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church and the Youghiogheny Country Club. She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Grabill; son, Gary (Bridget) Grabill of Cranberry, Township; daughter, Haley Anne (Jeffrey) Dremel of New Cumberland, Pa.; grandsons, Gary William Grabill, Chase William Dremel, Jesse Robert Grabill, Harvey Jefferson Dremel and Taylor Patrick Grabill; sister, Debra Tressler of East McKeesport; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Balin and Terri Taylor. Family and friends will gather at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church, 2515 Versailles Ave., McKeesport, PA, 15132. Entombment will follow.
