Michael Ronald Bobby, 79, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on May 11, 2023, at UPMC Shadyside with his devoted wife and family at his side. Born on June 5, 1943, in Brownsville, he was the son of the late John and Stella Markovitch Bobby. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Coal Center. He graduated from California High School in 1961 and California University with a degree in industrial arts. He taught in the California Area School District for 39 years. After he retired, he enjoyed bike riding on rail tracks, playing shuffleboard in Florida, traveling, especially to Italy, and meeting family in Slovakia. He was skilled at making pysanky eggs and loved watching the Pitt Panthers, the Pirates and the Steelers. His meticulous attention to detail will be missed by his many dear friends and all who knew him. Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Troiano Bobby, whom he married Oct. 31, 1970; brother, Dr. John Bobby and wife Joyce of McDonald; brother-in-law, Ralph Troiano and wife Dyane of Washington; nephew, Tyler Troiano; nieces, Myresa Sobocinski and husband Tommy, Sarah Russell and husband Owen, and Rachel Dever and husband Pierce; special great-nephews, Luca Sobocinski and Brooks and Tripp Dever; godchildren, Tyler, Ian, Christy, Zack and Tom; many special cousins, especially Andy and Joanie; dear friends from Spanish Lakes, Fla.; and lifelong friends in this area. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Michael Bobby, in 1990. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to CARL J.
