Dawn M. Zimmer – Donora

Dawn M. Zimmer, 58, of Donora, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills. She was born Oct. 19, 1964, in Toms River, N.J., daughter of the late Norman Hess and the late Olga Hess. Dawn loved her family, spending quality time with friends, traveling and creating lasting memories. She will be missed by many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Cookie Hummel; and her grandson, little Jeffrey DeSchon. Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Terry Zimmer; her children, Candice Jones, Nicole Jones (Kevin Moore) and Matthew (Beth) Jones; stepdaughters, Dannielle (Terry) Pendland, Trish (Josh) Zimmerman, Tanya (Tom) Heiser and Toni (Jeff) DeSchon; grandchildren, Liam, Gaige, Colton, Sophie, Arianna, Clara, Tanner, Caden, Sage, Connor, Everett, Ethan and Scarlett; siblings, Christine Hummel, Eda (Peachy) Abbate, Wayne Hess and Dale (Jill) Zimmer; along with countless nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023.
