Marjorie I. Beganics Buralli, 88, of Monessen, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at The Residence at Hilltop, Carroll Township. Marjorie was born on June 30, 1934, in East Monongahela, daughter of the late Alexander and Nell Trubick Beganics. After her graduation from Monongahela High School in 1952, Margie began working at the former Halpern Sewing Factory in Monongahela. A member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela, she loved to dance in her younger years, especially at the Charleroi Vets and the Webster Dairy Bar. She worked most of her career as a secretary at the former Civic Finance in Monongahela and retired as a secretary for the Monongahela Valley Hospital Credit Union. She is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Cooper of Canonsburg and Caryl and Henry Perney of Scenery Hill; her grandson, Kenneth Filewich of Donora; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert C. Buralli, who died June 20, 2014; a brother, Alexander “Sandy” Beganics; two sisters, Claudette Bavuso and Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Lentz; and her companion, John Gulick. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023, where a blessing service will be held at noon Wednesday with Deacon Alex Poroda officiating.
