Samuel David Leccia Sr., 80, of Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 4, 2023. Sam is survived by his wife of 56 years, Regina Leccia; children, Regina “Gina” Gumina (Gregory), Kathy McLay (Bryce), Renee Bonari (Craig), and Samuel Leccia Jr.; grandchildren, Angel-Lena (Kent), Noelle (Dylan), Giada, Danielle (Alex), Amanda, Dominic, Anthony, Luke, Kirra and Vaughn; great-granddaughter, Raelynn; brothers, John Leccia and James Leccia; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Clara Leccia; grandson, Michael Gumina; and siblings, Jolene Eaglehouse, Marcella Morgo, Patty Gallo, Mary Jane Pickering, Marie Harrison and Dominic Leccia. Sam was a Navy Seabee veteran, loved golf and was a hard worker. He retired as a boilermaker superintendent. He was a true family man. Family was everything to Sam. No matter what, he was always there to support everyone through whatever it was they were dealing with. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in the funeral home’s chapel. Online condolences may be shared at jeffersonmemorial.com.
