Space exploration at California Area Elementary

Second-grade students in Sue Bitonti’s class at California Area Elementary School took part in a moon landing simulation Monday afternoon. The students are learning about rocket science, the phases of the moon and other aspects of space exploration thanks to recent funding from a “transformED Teacher Innovation Fellowship.” From left are Richard McKnight, CJ Null, Alexander Kent, Gracie Juarez, Leo Galis and Harper Tobias.
