Frank M. ‘Duke’ Rodriguez Jr. – New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Donora

Frank M. “Duke” Rodriguez Jr., 63, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of  Donora, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 26, 2023, and was reunited with his boys. Born on May 23, 1959, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence (Medina) Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Michael (2015) and Scotty (2022), who were his heart and soul. Duke was a graduate of both Ringgold High School and The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, N.Y. He was a chef by trade, which provided him opportunities to work in Lake Tahoe, and he was the co-owner of Duke’s Cafe in Donora. He had a love for both fishing and going to the beach. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his siblings, Arlene (Brian) Amati and Rick (Donna) Rodriguez, nephews and niece, Travis, Rico (Jenny), Megan and Cam; and a great niece whom he called Princess Lilly. He is also survived by many cousins, a daughter-in-law, Wanjie (Mbugua) Rodriguez, mother of his sons, Donna (Kusmirak) Rodriguez, numerous Donora friends and his new Florida family.
