Every Student Matters

Monessen Communities That Care held an Every Student Matters program Friday at Monessen High School and Middle School. Organizer Teresa Seh said the organization held four workshops that promoted hope and encouragement and let the students know that there are people who care for them. The workshops were Drumming Circle by Sage’s Army, Role Play Skills by Seton Hill University, Art Therapy by Seton Hill University and Coping with Stress by CSAY. Ninth-grader Svetlana Vining plays the drums as Carmen Capozzi of Sage’s Army of Greensburg drums along. Students learned to work together on the beating of drums and were able to use this to de-stress and refocus.
