James A. Hileman – Belle Vernon

James A. Hileman, 86, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at his home. Born Feb. 10, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James P. and Aleda Albert Hileman. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Hileman was Protestant by faith, was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Railroad Division, and later did auto shop repair for Lewis Dodge. James served in the U.S. Army National Guard combat support company and was a founding member of the former CAS Ambulance Service, where he served for many years. James could always be found sitting on his front porch with his wife, Rochelle, waving to friends as they passed by their home. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Darcy Hileman of Fairhope, and Tom and Shawna Hileman of North Belle Vernon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Ernie Colelli of Fairhope, and Jamie and Jim Butz of Rostraver Township; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Hileman of Fairhope; 10 grandchildren, Ryan and Malissa Peck, Heather and Jim Miller, Justin Hileman, Jonathan Hileman and Valerie Fleming, Deanna and Rob Dawson, Scotlun and Jimmy Ryan, Jacob Hileman, Brett and Gina Seroka, Tiffany and DJ Rechichar and Zachary Hepple; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Ocienan Hileman of Rostraver Township, and Penny and Ronald Rizzuto of Pompano Beach, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rochelle Hileman, on Feb. 13, 2023; son, David Hileman; sister, Carol Eberly; and brother, the Rev. Mel Hileman. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Bruce Stollings officiating.
